Brian Davis Jr. signed to Paul Quinn College

On April 11, 2018, Brian Davis Jr. signed his national letter of intent to Paul Quinn College in Dallas, TX.

Brian is a 6'5" shooting guard for the Hurricanes where he was a two year varsity starter and captain. During his time at South Plaq Brian led the team to new heights, where twice they set the school record for wins in a season. For his career Brian averaged 16.5 points per game, 7.3 rebounds, 1.4 blocks per game while shooting 41% from three point line. Brian has recieved honors of 2-time 1st team All-District, 2-time South Plaquemines Maxpreps Player of the year, 2-Time team MVP and Orleans/Jefferson All-Star. Brian will also end his high school career on honor roll when he graduates in May.
Daron Powell signed to Southeastern Baptist College in Mississippi

Daron Powell signed to Southeastern Baptist College in Mississippi

On April 6, 2018 Daron Powell Signed his letter of intent to Southeastern Baptist College in Mississippi.

Daron is a 6'2" shooting gurad for the Hurricanes where has played varsity since the 7th grade. During his time at SOuth Plaquemines Daron also was apart of the team that set the school record twice for season wins. Daron for his career has averaged 13.7 points per game, 6 rebounds, 2 steals. Daron has recieved honors of 3 time All-District, Defensive Player of the year and team MVP. Daron will graduate from South Plaquemines as the All-Time leader in career points, leader for most points scored in a game, most made three-pointers in a game. Daron will also end his high school career on honor roll when he graduates in May.

SPHS Graduation RSVP for Employees and Retired Employees ONLY

Our goal is to provide the most authentic, memorable experience for our students and their families at graduation. To ensure the parents and family members of our graduates receive adequate seating, the following guidelines will be enforced:

PPSB employees will receive one ticket using their school board ID.
- All PPSB employees, who are attending our graduation must RSVP using the google registration form.
- All PPSB employees, who RSVP must show their PPSB ID, sign the attendance sheet and receive their ticket on the night of our graduation. (A table will be setup with a sign-in sheet and tickets.)
- Any retired PPSB employee wishing to attend must complete the RSVP request. Please note RETIRED in the position line.
- Only dignitaries, graduates and South Plaquemines High School staff members on duty will be allowed into the auditorium without a ticket.

All entries will be reviewed for validity. THE LAST DAY TO RSVP WILL BE MAY 14TH.
