Homecoming 2018 Information

Spirit Week
Monday: Color
· Faculty: Tie Die

Friday: Spirit Day

Homecoming Game/Parade-October 19.
· Parade will run from Buras YMCA to Buras Fire Station
· Parade line-up: 12:30pm Buras YMCA. Those on the Homecoming Court should arrive between 12:00 and 12:15pm
· Parade starts at 1:00pm and ends at 3:00pm Buras Fire Department.
· Tea begins at 4:00 pm. Pictures will be taken between 5:00 and 5:25pm.
· At 5:30pm, the entire court will lineup and walk to the field.
· The introduction of the Court and crowing of the King and Queen will begin at 5:45pm.
· Homecoming announcement should be done by 6:00pm.

Homecoming Dance
· The Homecoming dance is on Saturday, October 20th.
· Tickets are $5.00 in advance and $7.00 at the door. Tickets go on sale Friday.
· Homecoming dance starts at 7:00pm and ends at 11:00pm

Bell Schedule for Friday, October 19.
· We will follow a 11:15 am bell schedule. No one will be allowed to check out early because of the early dismissal. If anyone checks out early, it will be counted as an unexcused absent.

Brian Davis Jr. signed to Paul Quinn College

On April 11, 2018, Brian Davis Jr. signed his national letter of intent to Paul Quinn College in Dallas, TX.

Brian is a 6'5" shooting guard for the Hurricanes where he was a two year varsity starter and captain. During his time at South Plaq Brian led the team to new heights, where twice they set the school record for wins in a season. For his career Brian averaged 16.5 points per game, 7.3 rebounds, 1.4 blocks per game while shooting 41% from three point line. Brian has recieved honors of 2-time 1st team All-District, 2-time South Plaquemines Maxpreps Player of the year, 2-Time team MVP and Orleans/Jefferson All-Star. Brian will also end his high school career on honor roll when he graduates in May.
