Cheer Making History for SPHS

For the first time in SPHS history, the Varsity cheerleaders participated in a national competition. NCA Nationals took place in Dallas, TX on January 23 and 24. Cheerleaders from all over the country participated in this competition. SPHS cheer competed in the Non-tumbling Intermediate division and took home 8th place. We are very proud to have placed in the top 10 our first year at nationals. The girls and coaches worked very hard and practiced countless hours to make this dream a reality. Way to go girls!

Seniors to take ACT on Oct. 24th!

Seniors will be taking the ACT Test on Oct. 24th at Belle Chasse High School. Students may ride the bus from SPHS to BCHS. The bus will depart at 6:15am and students must sign up in the counselor's office by Oct. 22 to ride the bus. Students must bring their admission ticket and an official ID.

Read Night, Wednesday October 14 from 5:30 - 7:00 PM

Please join us for Read Night, Wednesday October 14 from 5:30 - 7:00 PM. There will be a famous author autographing his book, dinner, and an entertaining evening of literacy for all ages.

Students will be viewing the movie Hocus Pocus in the auditorium and babysitting will be available for small children.

There will be prizes!!!
