Attention Class of 2018: Mandatory Meeting 3/17/16 @ 6:30pm

At the end of 10th grade year, all students must choose to work toward a Jump State Tops Tech Diploma Pathway or Tops University Diploma Pathway. There will be a mandatory meeting help on March 17, 2016 at 6:30pm in the auditorium. All sophomores and a parent/guardian must attend the meeting. Students will not be allowed to schedule for next year's classes unless they attend the meeting. Please contact Ms. Slavich if you have any questions or concerns at 595-6425.

SPHS's Wrestling Team Win Big at State Tournament

The Wrestling team returned home from the State Championships in Shreveport. The team wrestled tough and represented the South Plaquemines Hurricanes well. They finished in fourth place with 8 state placers and two individual state champions. Congratulations to Brandon Turner and Johnathan Wilson on winning their weight class. Congratulations also to Curtis Sylve Jr.-6th Place, Chris LeBoeuf-5th Place, Corey Ancar-5th Place, Gerald Barthelemy-5th Place, Wade Barthelemy-5th Place, and Kendrick Smith-5th Place. Cheer Making History for SPHS

For the first time in SPHS history, the Varsity cheerleaders participated in a national competition. NCA Nationals took place in Dallas, TX on January 23 and 24. Cheerleaders from all over the country participated in this competition. SPHS cheer competed in the Non-tumbling Intermediate division and took home 8th place. We are very proud to have placed in the top 10 our first year at nationals. The girls and coaches worked very hard and practiced countless hours to make this dream a reality. Way to go girls!
